How it works

Sentinel

Sentinel monitors selected signals on Apple Watch and can offer graded haptic cues when its thresholds are met. Review recorded events in Rhythm the next morning.

How this works in Dreamline

Understand the controls

Choose your settings, start monitoring on a paired Watch, and check the confirmed status. The phone shows when it is still waiting for the Watch to respond.

•Start or stop monitoring from Rhythm
•Check that the Watch confirmed the change
•Review recorded events the next morning
•Adjust optional cues to suit your preferences

Read with context

Know the limits

Sentinel is a wellness feature. It does not diagnose a condition, read dream content, or guarantee better sleep. It does not contact another person for you.

•A recorded event can have several explanations
•A haptic cue may wake or disturb you
•Watch availability and permissions affect monitoring
•Consult a professional for persistent sleep problems

Why it matters

Review an event alongside the night

Your recollection of the night helps you understand a recorded event. Monitoring alone cannot tell you what happened in a dream.

Confirmed status

A Start request is complete when the Watch reports that monitoring is active.

Morning context

Read event timing beside your journal entry and available sleep information.

Your choice

Use the settings to decide whether and how haptic cues are offered.
