How Dreamline handles privacy and data

What Dreamline collects

• Account identity and authentication data for the app.
• Dream entries, saved analyses, journal metadata, and identity inputs you choose to store.
• Assessment and check-in answers you choose to provide for your profile.
• Separate quiz, content, and report-interest opt-ins only after explicit website consent.

Website usage

The website uses PostHog to record page views, link clicks, and form actions. These events can include the page address, referral and campaign information, and a browser identifier saved on your device. They help us understand how people use the site.

Website email preferences

Dreamline only uses separate email lists for the purpose you chose.

• App Store download: handled by Apple and kept separate from website opt-ins.
• Quiz / content / report opt-ins: used for the learning content, report news, and Dreamline updates you choose.
• Each sign-up records what you asked to receive.

Health and device data

Dreamline can request access to selected Apple Health and Apple Watch data such as sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and motion. Raw samples, readiness history, Sentinel settings, and Sentinel history stay on your iPhone. With your separate AI consent, coarse readiness and overnight context may be sent for a daily message; those body inputs are not kept as server-side history.

AI-written features

If you choose AI-written features in the app, selected dream and profile context can be sent to OpenAI to create a reading. The app asks for your AI consent first. Pattern Profile and Current Pattern are calculated from your assessment and check-in answers.

Retention and deletion

• Website email preferences are kept until you ask us to remove them. Contact privacy@dreamlineapp.com to leave a list.
• Account content is kept while your account is active. The app’s Settings include account export and deletion.
